Mt. Pleasure Laci Garters

Mt. Pleasure Laci Garters born June 20, 2007, has proven her connection to the illustrious 'Blossom' line by her growth and stamina. A late June kid she disproves the old saying that late kids don't grow-- weighing in at 48 pounds at just three months of age. She will make her show ring debut at the Arkansas State Fair in October in the late kid class.

Laci's grand dam SG Roeburn's Brutus Eliana 8*M received her Top 10 status again this year!

Laci may be smaller in stature, but she makes up for it in heart and personality. She is a very sweet, and loving doe. If I am anywhere near the pen, she is by my side. She blessed us with a beautiful doe kid this past spring after a very hard delivery. Unforunately, we lost Lyric this summer. Laci mourned her daughter, as did we. Laci will be bred to Petey in late December/early January if the stars line up properly (a.k.a. Petey is mature enough to reach!)

Laci is special. She is very smart like Piper is. All you have to do is point at the milk stand and she runs and jumps up on it. She lifts her feet to be trimmed, and she is very willing to do anything you ask of her. She also is very gentle when it comes to other animals. The picture below shows Laci standing in a pen. At her feet, you will see 3 small chicks. The hen disappeared and the chicks would follow Laci around to keep warm up next to her legs. When she would lay down, the chicks would nest next to her and she would keep them warm.
